We’re excited to announce a big upgrade for our Pure Bookkeeping community — our brand-new centralized event calendar is now live!
Up until now, we’ve been using AddEvent to manage and share community events. While it served us well for a while, we know many of you experienced syncing issues, delays, or inconsistencies depending on your setup. That’s why we decided to take a new approach: we’ve built our own custom event management system right inside the community platform.
Why We Made the Switch
The goal is to make it easier and more reliable for you to stay connected, up-to-date, and engaged with our events and resources.
The new system has centralized everything in one place. You no longer need to worry about incorrect calendar synchronization or missing Zoom links. When you visit the community, the Events page is your single source of truth.
Here’s What You Can Expect:
✅ One Central Hub: All event information lives within the community. You can view upcoming sessions, access joining links, see updates, and find recordings (coming soon!).
✅ Real-Time Updates: If there’s a change or cancellation, the event page will be updated immediately. You will never attend a rescheduled or cancelled meeting without prior notice.
✅ Add-to-Calendar Functionality: You can still add events to your personal calendar with a single click. Just note that changes made later won’t sync automatically — you may need to re-add the event manually if something changes.
✅ Direct Access to Meeting Links and Info: Each event contains a specific link that brings you right back to its page, where you’ll find the Zoom link, access info, and any necessary passwords. No more digging through emails!
