Create a Vision Statement !
Deciding to grow from a successful practice to a profitable business will reward you in ways that you never thought possible. But the journey requires a Vision that is bigger than yourself. A picture of your future that inspires and excites you and gives you the lift you need when the times get tough - and they will.
Have you taken the time to create a Vision Statement that inspires you? Have you created a Visionary Picture Board with pictures and statements that remind you of the reason why you have taken on this challenge?
There are many reasons for growing your Practice into a profitable business
- For your children
- So that you can take time off
- So that you have a passive income
- Because you can't stop the clients coming and you don't want to turn them down
- To prove to yourself that you can do it
- Because it is worth more than a Practice when it's time to sell
What are your reasons for growing your Practice into a profitable business? Think about that when you are creating your Vision Statement and your Visionary Picture Board.
Peter Cook says during our Seminars that one of the things that holds us back from creating a big Vision is because of the fear of failure. What will people think of us if we fail? During the Seminar,Pete helps you put that notion into perspective. He says that if you have a goal to sell your bookkeeping business for $1,000,000 and you fail miserably and only get $800,000 do you think you would be happy with that? Of course you would!
So have fun with your Vision Statement. Think bigger than you really feel comfortable with. No-one actually cares if you miss the mark. You don't even have to tell anyone if you would prefer to keep that private. But just create one. And if you have one already but it really doesn't inspire you, or perhaps you've already achieved that Vision, then it's time to revise it.
